We are looking to recruit a Senior Financial professional with a proven track record in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Accounts Payable:

  • Oversee and enhance the organisations payables position, ensuring timely payments and compliance with better payment practices.
  • Lead governance in the Accounts Payable function, ensuring quality standard operating procedures and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with external parties for reviews, including duplicates, supplier statement reconciliations, and fraud initiatives.
  • Drive the reconciliation of Supplier statements, leveraging technology for efficiency.
  • Work with key stakeholders to maintain a top-notch 'purchase to pay' system, participating in system testing and upgrades.

Accounts Receivable

  • Monitor and optimize the organisation's receivables position, implementing action plans for overdue debt and cash flow optimisation.
  • Lead governance in the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring quality standard operating procedures and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and present debt write-off reports, ensuring accurate general ledger posting and annual accounts reporting.
  • Oversee the performance of debt collection agents and escalate overdue debts as necessary.
  • Collaborate on the design and testing of effective Accounts Receivable systems during upgrades and relevant interfaces.

Annual Accounts:

  • Support the completion of annual accounts and monitoring returns, ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met.
  • Lead responsibility for agreement of balance exercises for receivables and payables, ensuring efficient plans with stakeholders.
  • Lead responsibility for credit loss provision calculation and reporting.
  • Support the Associate Director of Finance in providing financial inputs for the Trust's Annual Report.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, resolving queries efficiently.

Staffing:

  • Ensure staff appraisals, mandatory training, and health and wellbeing conversations are conducted regularly.
  • Develop staff competencies through training and personal development plans.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional accountancy qualification.
  • Proven experience in senior financial management.
