Job Title: Accounting & Treasury Senior Specialist

Reporting to Accounting Manager / Treasury Manager

PURPOSE SUMMARY:

The jobholder will be responsible for daily cash management, management of automated reconciliation software and bank reconciliation process, liaising with FCA’s banking partners, Group cash and liquidity management and cash forecasting and planning. The role requires the candidate to have prior experience in a Treasury/Finance back office. Experience in securitisation and various payment, accounting and management systems would be advantageous. The role is shared 50% treasury/50% accounting.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. The primary treasury responsibility is to ensure liquidity to the business on a daily basis in order to maintain its business volumes and financial commitments to partners, suppliers, etc,.

2. Ensure that all daily operational cash management is executed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with internal and external requirements.

3. Continually drive process improvement regarding all aspects of the Treasury and Accounting function considering all business lines (Retail, Dealer Financing and Contract Hire).

4. Management of the automated reconciliation software and continuously strive to enhance and develop. Management of large volumes of data from multiple core applications; Ensures that all bank reconciliations are completed in accordance with Group requirements.

5. Ensures that loans, interest, accruals, IRS transactions, securitisation accounting, etc are maintained consistently and in accordance with policy in conjunction with BU Finance Managers.

6. Liaise with and act as a point of reference for internal and external auditors as required.

7. Plan for the business’ cash flow requirements (including cash flow forecasts to the central treasury team) on an ongoing basis.

8. Ensures compliance with financial covenants set by all applicable funding agreements.

9. Maintain good working relationships at a local level with the counterparties at the banks, financial institutions, etc.

10. Ensures that timely and accurate Group and local reporting is completed

11. Maintain, monitor and continually develop a strong internal control mechanism (coherent with the group internal risk policies) regarding the authorisation levels and limits for all banking related activities.

12. Deputises for the Treasury Manager when required.

13. Adhere to FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations and requirements.

14. Participate in ad hoc projects as required; other duties as required.

DIMENSIONS / BUDGETS:

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:

· Graduate qualified/part qualified to CIMA/ACA/ACCA level; qualified/part qualified AMCT desirable.

· At least 5 years’ experience in an accounting/treasury role

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel and an ability to manage large volumes of data. Google sheets & Gmail and Business Objects experience would be an advantage

· Strong communication/presentation skills support a natural tendency for synthesis. Able to adapt and adjust to different audiences as required

· Drives collaboration across functional departments, is able to communicate effectively at all levels

· Shares openly ideas and opinions and is not afraid to lead change in the environment as well as adjusting to it

· Good team player

· Resilient and able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
