The Role:

Looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join the existing team to cover maternity leave. You will initially be working as a temp for a month or so, and then will move onto a fixed term contract basis, for 3 months, with a view to this being extended on a quarterly basis. You'll be assisting the Purchasing Manager with all aspects of administrative support as well as raising orders and checking invoices.

- Updating the purchasing database when a delivery arrives
- Checking and reporting on any discrepancies between supplier order acknowledgements and purchase orders
- Reconciling delivery notes and purchase orders
- Logging invoices received from the accounts team
- Logging purchase orders onto database to pass for payment by accounts
- Creating purchase orders and inputting delivery notes
- Raising orders for equipment and updating excel spreedsheets accordingly for reporting purposes
- Liaise with project managers weekly to discuss deadlines

The Person:

- Educated to A Level standard
- Purchasing or Finance background/experience, experience gained in a construction industry environment would be of great benefit
- Proficient user of MS Office (you will be tested) and experience of Filemaker
- Experience of database handling, liaising with suppliers, dealing with sub contractors and compiling correspondence
- Enthusiastic, positive approach
- Available immediately
- Able to commit to a contract role, that may be extended up to a period of 12 months, with a chance of permanent employment at the end of the contract
